The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire web site was a very challenging proposition in that it would represent many facets of the movie. The site marketing strategy was to use multiple sites, using specific characters and events from the movie as a unique site experience. IE: Goblet of Fire, Mad-Eye Moody, Triwizard Champions, Triwizard Tournament, The Yule-Ball, and The Dark Mark, here my involvement is with the first four site titles as designer and art director.

MadEye Moody professor of the Dark Arts is a intricate part of the fan based marketing program. His role in the movie and in the Harry Potter story is one of a guru. A misfit of sorts but the one we all turn to when the going gets rough. Lots of 3D motion and rendering involved in the flash build of this site. The mechanics of the ocular rigging was a real natural as a transition element and a build sequence.

Goblet of Fire "Parallax Environment"

The Goblet of Fire "Parallax Environment" the grand finale of the Harry Potter Brand web Design for 2005/2006. This environmental design met with great trepidation in terms of interface developers and executives, but in the end very successful and very popular with the fans. Also very welcomed by the motion and design departments at WB Online.

TRIWIZARD CHALLENGES GAMES SITE:

The Triwizard Challenges games site involved development with database and user log in for score content generation. A short authoring schedule earmarked a very concentrate use of multiple disciplines.

One of the more interesting motion graphic elements is the banners. Rendered in 3D using a programed wind effect and motion path for the unfurling.

The Turnaround was quick and the launch very seamless with the data base (no QA time at all prior to launch).

The Triwizard Tournament Characters Site:





The Triwizard Tournament character site created an environment to introduce and detail the main characters of the Goblet of Fire story. Many of the intricacies of the trials and action of the movie are defined in this segment of the marketing campaign.
